Frequently asked questions

  • We offer free parking for our guests. There is one space per beach house or beach apartment. The parking space is marked with the same number as your accommodation.

    If you are arriving with two cars during the summer, please contact the reception to get a parking permit. Please note that this only applies during the summer season. Our extra parking spaces are subject to availability and cannot be reserved. If you are driving an electric car, we have four charging stations available, and payment is made via InCharge.

  • Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

  • Bedding and final cleaning are now included in your booking at no extra cost. Previously, bedding cost 110 SEK/set and final cleaning was 600 SEK for apartments and 800 SEK for beach houses. From now on, these services are included in the price.

    Please note that this applies to bookings made from 16/10/2024 onwards.

  • Your pets are welcome in selected beach houses and compact living apartments for an additional fee. Please feel free to contact us for more information and to book these specific accommodations.

  • On the corner of the service building, there is a hose to rinse off surfboards, bikes, or sandy feet.

  • You can rent bicycles through us, and we have both helmets and baskets available upon request. If you need to pump the tires, we are happy to assist.

  • Our main reception is located at Sanatorievägen 4.

    Monday to Friday: 11:00–20:00
    Saturday and Sunday: 08:00–20:00

1. Lessor

ApelvikStrand AB, organization number 55 69 43-20 56, Surbrunnsvägen 2-8, 432 54 VARBERG, SWEDEN, is the contracting party and responsible for bookings.

2. General Terms

2.1. To enter into a booking agreement, you must be 18 years old at the time of booking. If you are staying with others without a guardian, all of them must be 18 years old at the time of stay. Children staying with guardians are exempt from this requirement.

2.2. Our accommodations are only intended for recreational purposes or corporate stays. Permanent residency is not allowed.

2.3. The booked accommodation may only be used by the number of people stated at the time of booking, or otherwise agreed with the lessor.

3. Validity of the Booking

3.1. Verify the booking confirmation/invoice. You are responsible for ensuring the details are correct. If there are any errors, contact ApelvikStrand immediately.

3.2. The booking is binding for both parties when the registration fee (see below) has been registered with the lessor.

4. Payment

4.1. For bookings via email, social media, or phone, a service fee of SEK 100 is charged. ApelvikStrand does not charge any service fee for bookings made online.

4.2. The payment is divided into a registration fee and a final payment. The registration fee amounts to 10% of the accommodation cost, and any cancellation protection or a minimum of SEK 500 of the accommodation cost. The registration fee must be received by ApelvikStrand AB no later than 10 days after booking. The final payment must be received by ApelvikStrand AB no later than 40 days before arrival.

4.3. If the booking is made less than 40 days before arrival, the entire amount must be paid no later than 10 days after booking.

4.4. If the booking is made less than 10 days before arrival, the entire amount must be paid at the time of booking.

4.5. If there is a change to an existing booking, the lessor has the right to charge a fee of SEK 150.

5. Cancellation

5.1. The Distance Selling Act (2005:59) has an exception for accommodation agreements, and therefore, you cannot cancel an agreement for renting a cabin or apartment.

5.2. Cancellation protection can be purchased for a fee of SEK 300 per accommodation unit. With cancellation protection, cancellation can be made up until the arrival date, provided that the conditions in 5.2.1 - 5.2.3 are met.

5.2.1. You or a close relative have become ill or suffered a fatality or accident.

5.2.2. A serious event that could not have been foreseen at the time of booking affects the home or family (the booker, the booker's spouse/partner, family registered at the same address, or fellow traveler).

5.2.3. You are prevented from utilizing your booking due to unemployment or new employment.

5.3. Cancellations must be made directly to ApelvikStrand AB. When using cancellation protection, ApelvikStrand AB retains the payment made for cancellation protection and any service fees.

5.4. When invoking reasons according to 5.2.1-5.2.3, such events must be substantiated with documentation from, for example, a doctor, authority, insurance company, or similar.

5.5. If cancellation is made with cancellation protection, a refund will be issued no later than 10 days after ApelvikStrand AB has received the necessary documentation and account details for the refund.

5.6. In case of cancellation without cancellation protection, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows:

5.6.1. For cancellation more than 40 days before arrival: 10% of the total booking price.

5.6.2. For cancellation 39-8 days before arrival: 25% of the total booking price.

5.6.3. For cancellation 7-2 days before arrival: 75% of the total booking price.

5.6.4. For cancellation 1-0 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking price.

6. Special Terms for Self-Catering Cottages/Apartments

6.1. The guest is responsible for taking care of the accommodation and following ApelvikStrand AB's rules. The guest is responsible for any damages that occur to the accommodation or its inventory. Rules are provided further down this page.

6.2. You are responsible for damages that occur to the accommodation or its inventory.

6.3. Unless otherwise stated on the confirmation or invoice, cleaning, bed linen, or towels are not included.

6.4. Unless otherwise stated on the confirmation or invoice, the accommodation must be cleaned before departure. A checklist will be provided upon check-out. If the accommodation is left uncleaned, you will be charged for cleaning afterward.

6.5. ApelvikStrand AB has accommodations where pets are allowed, and accommodations where pets are not allowed. It is the guest's responsibility to inform ApelvikStrand AB if they intend to bring pets at the time of booking and ensure that the booked accommodation allows pets.

6.6. ApelvikStrand AB does not guarantee that the accommodation is allergen-free.

    Om ni kommer med två bilar under sommaren, vänligen kontakta receptionen för att få ett p-tillstånd. Observera att detta gäller endast under sommarsäsongen. Våra extra parkeringsplatser är efter tillgång och går inte att boka. Om ni kommer med elbil har vi fyra laddstolpar tillgängliga, och betalning sker via InCharge.

  • Linneset och slutstädning ingår nu i er bokning utan någon extra kostnad. Tidigare kostade linneset 110 kr/set och slutstädning 600 kr för lägenhet samt 800 kr för strandhus. Från och med nu är dessa tjänster inkluderade i priset. Observera att detta gäller bokningar gjorda från och med 16/10 2024.
